Looking for a vacation in paradise? Stay right in the heart of the rainforest, on the edge of Corcovado National Park, on the wild Osa Peninsula.Wake up to the calls of scarlet macaws, share breakfast with monkeys, and fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle. At night, you might spot a raccoon or even an ocelot on your way to the bathroom. During the day, the choice is yours: pure relaxation or real adventure. Sabalo Lodge is not just a place to sleep. It is a place to live the rainforest . A great restaurant, authentic excursions, and a team who know the jungle as their home.
Sabalo Lodge operates in close harmony with nature and the local community. The lodge is run by local people who know the surrounding environment well and treat it with respect. We aim to communicate with our guests in two to three languages while naturally combining local traditions with European standards of comfort and service. We prioritize local resources by purchasing food from farmers in the Sábalo community, and we grow part of our own fruit and vegetables. Our energy comes partly from solar panels, while we are also connected to the electrical grid, ensuring a stable power supply. Water is sourced from a mountain spring. Comfortable temperatures are maintained through natural ventilation, and fast Wi-Fi is available for everyday online needs. Capacity 23 beds + tents + caravans.
We have prepared answers to the most frequently asked questions about staying at Sabalo Lodge – from transportation and practical information, through safety and local conditions, to nature, wildlife, lodge facilities, and how the restaurant operates. This way, you will know everything important before your arrival.
